Rewinding oneself and taking a break from the stressful life is a blessing and it is a luxury if you get a chance to plan a vacation to sought after tourist destinations, especially to God’s own Country’s Luxury Resorts in Wayanad. In the month of April 2018 I happened to chance on an accidental vacation during an official trip. As part of my official schedule, I had to attend meetings at Kozhikode in Kerala and Mysore. I boarded my flight from Mumbai domestic airport in the early morning and attended my meeting in Kozhikode at 12 P.M.
The meeting lasted for 2 hours and my next meeting was scheduled after 2 days in Mysore. I had 2 days and nothing else to do, so made an enquiry with the hotel’s Manager about the nearest places of tourist attractions. My call was picked up immediately and the executive other side was very helpful in providing the information. I reserved a room for myself. The roads were good and no traffic, my taxi reached fast. The Taxi driver told me that we reached the destination earlier than he expected.
As we enter the area near the Resort I was awestruck by the greenery, picturesque view down the hill, the water body “Banasura Dam” which decorated the Arayal Resorts in Wayanad like a queens necklace. On reaching the entrance of the “Arayal Resorts” I was welcomed by the Resort staff. The road leading from the entrance to the visitors lobby allows you a glance of surroundings as it is a steep climb on through a beautifully carved road to the hilltop.
I was so delighted to have found a place like that. In the visitors lobby I was welcomed and assisted by the staff, had refreshments and very tasty snacks served which were prepared by the chefs in the Resort’s home kitchen. I felt the Place was so blissful, peaceful, spacious and quiet.
I was pampered and treated like a king by the staff. One of the staff took me through a short introductory tour inside the Resort to know the different amenities in the Resort. I saw many guests mostly with their families enjoying the picturesque and relaxing beauty of the surroundings, the clean swimming pool, Spa, and massages to relax, different entertainment activities, games and above all the freshest of air and nature’s aesthetic treat.
I was all happy and wanted to speak to my wife, clicked few pictures and sent to her. It was by 7 pm by then and I realized that the Arayal Resorts was not only a luxury Resort but it was also a place where all flora and fauna are preserved and the ecosystem is intact. It was a heavenly feeling when I saw the full sunset, the redness slowly spreading to the Banasura dam water surrounding the Resort as the celestial sky was so picturesque and so as the larks. The ‘Arayal Resorts’ in Wayanad is in the middle of absolute pictorial hills and valleys where literally you will hum the lines of solitary reaper.
The hospitality team of the Arayal Resorts wayanad kerala guided me to the dining area, and served me food of my choice. I was so happy to have such a tasty and sumptuous meal. I had a good dinner with varieties of food including Kerala food, spent a few hours in the balcony trying to enjoy the chillness, quietness, the magical fragrance of flora in the fresh air and the ultimate splendid surroundings with tiny distant lamps, which reminded me the canvas of my childhood stories. I went back to my room, had a shower, and sat on my bed thinking that I will have to leave the next day.
The purest of happiness and finest good feelings are short lived but the hang over stays a lifetime. Before sleeping, I promised myself that I would visit the Arayal Resorts Wayanad again with my family at the earliest chance.
